As a charge nurse of the PICU, Angella attended a two hour arrest on the floor, brought the patient up to the ICU and then took on a patient assignment. She then kept the challenging assignment 6 hours past the end of her shift (which had started at 7pm the night before)until 1pm, during which she personally escorted the very distraught mother to the ED for medical attention. She never once complained and maintained a calm and friendly attitude, all the while supporting the family and updating them on their daughter's condition. Theis is just on example of the way she continues to be an outstanding leader to the rest of the nursing staffand demonstrates a stadard for us all to perform by.
