I had the privilege of being cared for by Angela. She has been part of my care team since I was admitted last Friday, and throughout my stay, she consistently demonstrated care, compassion, and exceptional attention to my well-being. 

One particular situation stands out. During my stay, I overheard the doctors inform my roommate of his terminal cancer diagnosis. Given that I was admitted due to the side effects of radiation treatment, this was an incredibly upsetting moment for me, and I began experiencing symptoms of an anxiety attack. Angela quickly recognized my distress and took the time to sit with me, actively listen, and address my concerns with empathy and understanding. Her calming presence and effective communication helped me regain control, and she managed the situation in a way that was deeply meaningful for my mental and emotional well-being.

Throughout my care, Angela was consistently mindful and present. I never felt like just another patient. She tailored her approach specifically to my situation, always treating me with dignity and respect. She took the time to understand my medical history and adjusted her care accordingly, asking pointed questions and showing genuine curiosity about my needs. Her active listening and engagement made me feel valued and seen as a person, not just a number. Though I was already familiar with my condition, Angela’s ability to ask thoughtful questions and engage in active communication allowed her to adapt her care in a way that was uniquely supportive. Her compassion and empathy were evident in every interaction, especially during moments when I felt emotionally vulnerable. Angela's professionalism and emotional intelligence truly set her apart, and I am deeply grateful for the care she provided during my time in the unit. Angela’s skillful balance of compassionate care and professional expertise made a significant difference in my experience.  

She is a remarkable nurse, and her presence left a lasting impression on me.
