While Angela and her husband, a state trooper, were having dinner with two other state troopers in a local restaurant, a woman entered and shouted that someone had been shot at a fast food restaurant across the street. Angela and the state troopers immediately ran to the scene of the shooting where they found the victim lying on the ground covered in blood.
Two of the state troopers made sure the scene was secure, while Angela and the other state trooper began assessing the victim. They found several gunshot wounds on the victim and began medical care while keeping the victim calm with reassuring words. They continued their efforts to keep the victim alive by controlling the bleeding until medical personnel arrived on the scene.
Angela and the state troopers went to the scene not being 100% sure if all of the suspects had left the area. They immediately began working to secure the area as well as saving the life of the victim. Because of Angela's quick action, medical training to control the bleeding, and leadership to keep everyone calm, the victim is alive today.
