My heart rate and BP were high from the time I arrived, but Angela's amazing care and alternatives helped to lower both.
I came into the ED in the middle of the night with severe pain and discomfort and it was bad enough to set off my severe anxiety and panic disorder. When I finally got into the room, Angela was my nurse. She made me feel comfortable and safe which is hard for a person with anxiety and in the middle of a panic attack. She talked to me on a personal level. She made me laugh and kept me distracted from the anxiety. My heart rate and BP were high from the time I arrived, but her amazing care and alternatives helped to lower both. She was a godsend. I don't think my visit would have gone the way it did if it weren't for her. She made me feel like I was the only patient. We need more nurses like her.
