April 2026 Honoree
Angela Watson, RN, BSN
As a hospital security officer was ending his shift, he mentioned to Angela that he had been noticing spots in his eyes. He thought the issue was minor and would follow up with his eye doctor. Angela recognized this could be a more serious condition and talked to the physician on duty. It was discovered that the security officer had a significant blockage in his carotid artery and required emergency surgery. Without her clinical judgment, attentiveness, and genuine compassion, there could have been a catastrophic event instead. We believe Angela saved our security officer's life with her empathy, professionalism, and unwavering dedication, reflecting the highest standards of care.
Thank you, Angela, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
