I wish to let your management know that I am very happy with the care provided by one of your nurses during my confinement. I had been admitted in the High Risk Pregnancy Unit about a month ago. I had a preterm labor which meant having to be attached to the fetal monitor almost all the time. Each nurse would come and go, hook me to that monitor, unhook me when I needed to go to the bathroom the rehook me again. This one nurse went far beyond what I had expected. From the moment she introduced herself, she paid attention to the smallest details and attended to my needs without me mentioning anything. For example, when she first came to my room, she noticed I was hiding under several layers of blanket. I had been attempting to cover everything except my face just to stay warm as I was informed that the air-conditioning throughout the third floor is centralized so I cannot personally adjust the room temperature. I didn't say anything, but she took one look at me, asked if I felt cold and pretty soon my room temperature felt much more comfortable. She had called some department to have the air-conditioning unit adjusted. She was the only nurse who took so much effort to remake my bed every time I went to the bathroom. The bedsheet stretched out, drawsheet neatly laid out, my things (phone, powerbank, TV remote) conveniently placed on the side, blankets pulled towards the end of the bed.
During her shift, I often said thank you but what she doesn't know and what I wasn't able to say, is how thankful I am for these little things she did. She took care of so many things I normally struggle with, considering my pregnant tummy and the fetal monitoring. Her shift was the most pleasant 12 hours of my stay in your hospital. My room felt like home. My bed was a safe place. There is absolutely nothing to worry about. Thanks to her, I knew I was in good, gentle and caring hands. She introduced herself as Nurse Anj and she is just amazing!
