My 90 yr old mother-in-law had 15 E.R. visits in less than 6 months due to a stroke and multiple falls. During her most recent inpatient admittance at Baystate Wing Hospital, Angelica was the most patient, caring, and understanding RN I have experienced in a hospital setting in years. Due to my mother-in-law's health issues, she isn't always coherent or attentive. She usually cares more about the menu and the TV than anything else upon admittance. During her initial intake in her room, Angelica was seemingly non-plussed by my mother-in-law's wandering attention and lack of coherent thought processes. My family is a bunch of frequent flyers at Baystate hospitals over the last 15-plus years, so I have seen and experienced it all. I can easily say that Angelica has easily been the nicest, sweetest, most understanding, and MOST PATIENT nurse I have ever dealt with...and I worked at Baystate Health for 26 years in the Marketing Department! She was amazing and helped make a very stressful situation a bit easier for my wife and me. If I could talk to the Pope and nominate her for sainthood, I would do so! Even when she wasn't her assigned caregiver on a certain day, Angelica would go out of her way to get us answers and information about her situation. I really cannot stress how fantastic she was for my mother-in-law as well as my wife and me. She is easily a role model for other RNs to follow. My wife and I really want to say THANK YOU to her!
