November 2022 Honoree
Angelica Escobar, RN
Angelica Escobar was my main nurse when I had to wait four hours for a procedure. She came to my room frequently, just to see how I was doing. My anxiety was off the charts! I had to use the bathroom every 20 minutes, but she showed no impatience or sense of being “put out.”
When the procedure was over, Angelica just greeted me with a smile. She took me by wheelchair out to meet my ride. It was lightly raining, and Angelica was open to enjoying it with me, like a good friend.
Angelica will stand out in my mind as one of the special nurses that God called to the profession.
I am a retired Geriatric/Hospice nurse. Angelica is a really exceptional nurse.
