Angelica exhibits extraordinary leadership skills. She motivates her team to do their best work while being an excellent teacher and patient caregiver. Angelica consistently goes above and beyond for her patients and sets a prime example for novice and experienced nurses. Patients and their families always have great remarks about her care. She is also involved with programs that reach out to groups outside of NSUH, such as the Northwell Golden Ticket Event. She shows true professionalism and dedication to our profession. I look forward to seeing Angelica continue to develop her career and it is my pleasure to work with such a great role model.

I have worked alongside Angelica for the past 4 years. She always displays excellent teamwork, especially when in charge. However, what stands out the most with Angelica is the extraordinary compassionate care she provides for her patients. She treats every single patient just as special as if they were her own family members. I have witnessed her hold a patient's hands as they cry finding out new diagnoses, give her shoulder to family members to cry on, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves or simply cover someone's feet who is sticking out of the blanket as she passes by.
She always goes above and beyond. Whenever I work with Angelica, she is always quick to lend a helping hand even if she has her own team of patients to worry about. I know I can always rely on Angelica whenever we work together. Angelica is a recipient of many awards such as Shining Star, Center of Excellence and the Pat Whelan Medical award and I truly know why.

Angelica is one of the most patient, knowledgeable, proactive and compassionate nurses I have met. She is the epitome of a super nurse. She is extremely professional and always remains completely humane. She is always a pleasure to be around and to work with as she always remains positive; you would never know she is having a bad day. I have witnessed her provide exceptional and outstanding care to her patients even if it is time-consuming. She received a patient from the ED who was extremely upset. Angelica took her time out to comfort the patient, make sure they were up-to-date with the plan of care and most importantly listened to why they felt this way. She is always helpful to me and our colleagues.
