I witnessed something today that made me so proud to know and work with Angelina. One of her patients had not been eating and had a very poor appetite. The patient stated that she wanted to try eating soup; Angelina went to the Cafeteria and bought soup for the patient with her own money. Angelina was PRESENT; she understood the needs of this patient and acted on it. She was a PARTNER to the patient and knew that nutrition will help this patient to heal.

Angelina works hard every day, always calling Doctors, trying to make quality of care and life better for her patients, taking PRIDE in being a nurse. She holds herself accountable for the work she does. When a nurse works PASSIONATELY to be the best that she can be, it sets them apart. Angelina is one of those nurses. She goes above and beyond to help touch the lives of her patients, pours her heart into her work; if encounter with a problem, finds a way to solve it. I respect her so much and believe that she is incredibly deserving of the DAISY Award.

She communicates so well with her patients and their families. She has a genuine concern for the well being and safety of her patients. Always seeks out resources that will benefit her patients and involves the multidisciplinary approach to provide better outcomes.
