Although these were the hardest moments in our lives, Angelo's support, empathy, and knowledge along the way helped guide us through those moments.
Angelo was the most caring nurse; not only was he a great nurse and gave great care to my husband, but he was also very thorough with his care and explained everything. He showed respect to my husband at all times and was so kind! He also was so very kind to my kids and me at such a difficult time, as we made critical decisions that were so hard. He was the most compassionate nurse, not only to myself but also to my kids. He made us feel like he really cared for all of us and got to know us and learn things about my husband, like if he had a bucket list and told us to try still to do those things, as M would be there in spirit!
He also made an extra effort to come and see all of us the next day as they transferred M to the 6th floor. It meant so much to all of us! He is very special, and I am sure we are not the first family, or will we be the last family that he has made feel like we are truly cared about! I would love for him to know how much we all appreciated everything he did to help us through this terrible time in our lives! My husband passed away. Thank you to Angelo, and he would be a great role model for any nurse! I am also a nurse, and I hope I have or can be half the nurse he was for us!

Angelo was great at explaining what he was doing and why, and we all couldn't have been in better hands. It was evident to us that he cared about my dad and all of us- getting to know who we were, asking about our families, etc.
We knew our time was numbered with my dad, and as Angelo disconnected him from all the extra monitoring, EEGs, etc., he was so gentle and thorough, from removing the adhesive from his hair to brushing his teeth, suctioning, etc. We really appreciated his compassion and caring nature and his focus on making sure my dad was comfortable.
Although these were the hardest moments in our lives, his support, empathy, and knowledge along the way helped guide us through those moments. We will forever be grateful that he was taking care of my dad on that day. The next day, Angelo came up to see us all once again, which meant a lot to us - he reminded us that we need to finish dad's bucket list, while also reminding us that my dad would be with us as we did so.
