I was admitted to L&D around 9:00 pm and Angie stayed with me past her shift and provided me with amazing one-on-one care. The dedication and empathy and she expressed helped me get through one of the most traumatic and painful experiences of my life. My delivery was extremely difficult, nothing went as I had hoped, and the at one point the baby was in distress. Angie's calm presence helped me process everything that was happening and what the midwives and doctors were saying without added worry or concern. She really made me feel that I could trust everyone and that they had nothing but the best intentions for me and my daughter. I fully believe that if it wasn't for her, my family and I would have experienced significantly more pain and trauma. Before she left the next morning, she took the time to make sure I didn't have any questions, didn't need anything, even though she had already introduced me to my new nurse, and then thanked me for allowing her to be part of my experience, when really, she was the one whom I needed to thank. She truly is an angel, heaven sent.
