October 2011 Honoree
angie arnold, RN
We (my son, his girlfriend, and his mother) spent 8 hours in the ER. Angie cared for us in a remarkable manner. She helped alleviate our initial anxieties with her wonderful brand of humor. My son went through a series of tests and she allayed his fears, kept us informed, and cheered him on in a caring and encouraging way. When we received the life altering news that my son (19 year old) had cancer, she immediately switched to a loving, compassionate, and soft spoken manner, that communicated her understanding of our grief and fear. Throughout our experience, Angie was efficient, unobtrusive, yet professional and efficient. I look back and marvel at how she managed us and all of her other patients and duties with expertise, compassion, and professionalism. We are indebted to her.
Thank you, Angie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
