Angie goes above and beyond for her patients and not just her patients but others who come to the Cancer Center also. A lot of times in our profession it is not only hard for the patient and family but also for us employees. When our doctors have to talk with a patient and family about Hospice Care, Angie is right there to explain all the benefits that Hospice has to offer. We had a patient who one morning was still at home and then at lunch Dr. T and Angie found out that he wanted to go to Hospice from his mother and they made it happen within 5 minutes. Angie did not only get him in quickly, but she also followed up with the patient's family all during the day and days to follow. She makes sure that not only does the patient have what they need but also the family. She answers any questions the family has and reassures them that if they need anything to call her. Angie is very compassionate about her job and all the patients who come to the Cancer Center.
