My friend T had been in surgery for a mastectomy and reconstruction. We were all grateful to receive hourly updates about how everything was progressing. When operating room nurse, Angie Feller, came out after about 4 hours or so into the surgery and asked T's husband if he has had dinner. I was so impressed with her thoughtfulness and kindness. She could have just as easily called my friend's husband from the operating room, but she came out and asked him if he had dinner. She said she knew that the surgery was several hours long and wanted to make sure he had dinner. How thoughtful!
