I want to tell you about a nurse that we had when my son was there for the last 5 days. All of the nurses were amazing but there was one that really stands out for us – Anna. She was so wonderful to my son and me. When I was really scared of my son getting discharged without his major problem being taken care of, I told Anna my concerns and she went right into mode of taking care of it. She got the charge nurse, Angie Filipiak, to be our patient advocate and together they made the doctors take a second look at my son who ended up staying 3 more days due to his hypotension and low heart rate. Anna was our little bulldog not allowing him to be sent home in that state. Anna and Angie didn’t stop until the issue was going in the right direction – they were both my little angels. I was so scared due to how he was and the fact that in 4 weeks it was our third admission, and I didn’t want him sent home to only have to return 2 days later like previously was happening. I owe a lot to Anna for truly listening to us. Anna and Angie should get the DAISY Award. When I thought no one was listening and paying attention, they stood up.

Your hospital is truly amazing and trust me all of your nurses on 3 South are exceptional but those two really went above and beyond.
