I was admitted with symptoms of a heart condition. I'm 64 and raising my granddaughter. After dealing with the doctor, I was really upset with my health care and even thinking of leaving. All my doctors are with Saint Luke's, but I was so upset with my hospital doctor that I was considering transferring to UMKC.

The doctor had placed a notice on my door about taking extra precautions, so the nurses would stand at the door and just talk to me from there. Except one.

It came time for my stress test. Angie Ginenthal could tell by my face; I was just done. I might as well leave. She talked to me and provided support, along with her supervisor, so I stayed.

Thanks to these two amazing nurses, I was able to make sure my heart was okay. Angie has a kind heart and a caring spirit that make her not just a nurse but a true caregiver. This hospital needs more nurses like Angie very badly, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. I don't have the supervisor's name, but these two make a great team! I was blessed to have them.

Angie educated me on how to treat my skin. She worked diligently to coordinate discharge, all while having students shadowing her.

Thank you, Angie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
