Angie was the nurse that checked me in when I arrived on the APS floor at Blessing Hospital. I was scared because I have never been in this hospital's psych unit and my previous experience had been at psychiatric hospital at elsewhere. I was assigned to the same type of area as APS when I was literally scared for my life.
I checked into Blessing Hospital in the middle of the day and the ward was calm and the staff did a great job of keeping people calm. I was not calm when I arrived. Angie could tell and treated me caringly and friendly, explaining everything to me. She made me feel at ease in a new situation, in a new hospital when I didn't want to be a patient. She calmed my nerves and made me realize that she and the other staff were there to help me and would keep me safe.
Angie introduced me to the Blessing Hospital psych floor with kindness and caring I had never before received. She is an amazing nurse, kind and caring, knowledgeable, friendly and naturally calming. Thank you.
