Angie is always prepared, kind, compassionate, and personable (which we all know is not always the easiest with a teenage girl).
My daughter has frequented the Pediatric Unit every 4-6 weeks for infusions for the last several years. Angie has been her nurse for infusions lately. N looks forward to her time with Angie and often makes comments that reflect her confidence and gratitude toward Angie’s work ethic and attitude. This provides comfort and reassurance to me as a parent. Angie is always prepared, kind, compassionate, and personable (which we all know is not always the easiest with a teenage girl). N recently had an infusion, not only did Angie provide exceptional care once again for my daughter, but she offered me an ice pack and pillow for myself after noticing my bandaged hand and inquired that I had surgery the day prior. While this may have only taken her a few extra minutes, it meant the world to me. I was in a significant amount of pain from having surgery the day prior and working the day of the infusion. I went to the infusion mentally counting down the hours until I could be home to elevate and ice my hand. I did not feel great that my sole focus was not on my daughter. Angie’s dedication and commitment to not only her pediatric patients but to their families as well are very much appreciated and really made a huge impact on the experience that we had that evening. N made several comments that evening about what a wonderful nurse Angie was and I agree. We would like Angie to know that she makes a huge impact on our experience and that she is a wonderful nurse.
