Angie's compassion, optimism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. Because of her, my daughter is on her way to a happier, less nervous recovery.
Just wanted to take a moment to recognize Angie and her hard work, though it is impossible to summarize in a few words what kind of nurse Angie is, I will try.
Not only did Angie go above and beyond what was expected to help make this difficult process easier for her patient, my daughter, but she went above and beyond for me as well. Angie is always gentle and caring when checking vitals and administering medications. Her priority was always her job and my daughter. Angie would take a few minutes to talk to my daughter and ask her about school and her siblings. Angie treated my daughter like a friend and not just a patient. Angie displayed excellent professionalism and true compassion every time she came into the room. Angie made sure I had water and blankets, and always changed my daughter's bed sheets whenever she would get up to walk the halls. I know it's not much, but she never seemed to mind, and I never once had to ask.
Angie's compassion, optimism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. Because of her, my daughter is on her way to a happier, less nervous recovery. Angie made sure my daughter was very comfortable and had everything she needed. Angie brightened our day every time she walked in and whenever she was back on shift. She truly cared about my daughter's well-being and made sure to congratulate her on the littlest accomplishments every day, such as sitting up on her own, eating, and using the bathroom. Angie's family-centered approach gave us a sense of relief.
My daughter wants to be a nurse in the future and seeing Angie every day and how she works made my daughter feel honored to have her as her nurse and inspired my daughter to want to be a great nurse like Angie. Angie was not only my daughter's nurse, but she was also a great role model for what she wants to be in her future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for having such an amazing person working at your facility.
