My mother was initially admitted to MMH because of a stroke. However, while in the Neuro unit she began to go in and out of AFIB and was subsequently transferred to the Cardiac Unit. Angie was the nurse who physically moved my mother's bed, got her situated and filled my husband and me in on what was happening. She consistently provided my family with information, genuine support, encouragement and care. My mother was always her priority in an environment that seemed chaotic. Angie sat with us as we discussed hospice care. That is something we will always be grateful for as it is a difficult conversation to have.
My mother has passed but I am confident that she was comfortable while Angie was her nurse. When a loved one is facing health complications, it means so much to have an empathetic respectful, compassionate professional guide you through the process. Angie definitely encompassed those traits and more.
***
Compassionate and caring professional always helpful competent and skilled. All were great but Angie was exceptional!
