We had a very difficult time due to decisions we had to make about the delivery of our baby based on guesswork and "no right or wrong answer here", but very serious possible repercussions. Everyone seemed to want to give us only the bare minimum information in regards to answering our questions. When Angie came on shift, she was very positive, very happy, and very helpful. She saw how frustrated we were and took the time to sit with us and show us she was focusing on US, not just going through the motions. She answered all of our questions and sat and talked with us to make sure we were doing ok and had everything we needed. She was very polite and respectful throughout the entire process.
Later, after the baby was born and she was working in the NICU, she was very informative and took my questions very seriously which eased my mind a lot. Angie was very attentive to my son and my husband and me while we were in the NICU. She went out of her way to make sure we knew what was going on and ask if we had questions or if she could help. At one point the doctor told us she was going to put a very small feeding tub in the baby's nose and would be back in 5 minutes. After about 25 minutes she still wasn't back. I went to check on him and all I could see through the NICU window was the doctor in her scrubs and appeared to be operating on our baby with gloves on and a sheet covering him, and bloody utensils being used. I started asking what was going on and no one was answering me. As a was about to have a full-blown meltdown because I didn't know what was happening, Angie was the one to come out and tell me it was a simple umbilical central line, gave me all the info about it and calmed me down.
Throughout our entire stay, Angie was an angel. She kept me relaxed, informed, and sane. Thank you so much, Angie, for everything you did for us. You are an amazing person! Thank you!
