Anita was nominated by the mother of a pediatric oncology patient for repeatedly stepping in to assist with her daughter's care. Anita was recognized for walking over to the hospital to access the patient's port after several unsuccessful attempts. Anita provided reassurance and sat with the patient to calm her down after a challenging experience.
