May 2016 Honoree
anita witt, RN
I have recently been a patient at Good Shepherd Hospital. I have been having a problem with vomiting so they had put a tube up my nose to my stomach to drain it out. My doctor had said he was going to take it out in the morning, it is very uncomfortable. I had it in two days prior also. That morning in particular was not a very good morning. I told Anita I couldn't take it anymore and was going to rip out the tube. I did so during an anxiety attack, which I have never had before. She never was cruel, nasty or lost her composure with me and continued to provide excellent care to me for my continued stay.
Thank you, Anita, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
