June 2026 Honoree
Anitra Williams, DNP, CCRN, PHN, HACP, NEA-BC
We are honored to nominate Anitra Williams, CNE, for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award because she embodies the kind of leadership that transforms not only patient care, but also the people who deliver it. Working under her guidance has shaped each of us into stronger, more confident professionals, and we have all witnessed how her influence positively impacts our entire team. What sets Anitra apart is her unwavering commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. She doesn’t just speak about our mission — she lives it. Whether she’s advocating for safer staffing, stepping in to support a struggling team member, or celebrating even the smallest wins, she leads with heart, humility, and integrity. One of the qualities we admire most is her ability to make every person feel seen, heard, and valued. She takes the time to listen, to understand, and to mentor. As a team, we have grown tremendously because she consistently challenges us while also supporting us. She recognizes potential before we see it in ourselves and creates an environment where we feel empowered to grow. Anitra has implemented numerous initiatives that have elevated the way we see and serve our members. One of the most impactful is her Leadership Series — a program designed to help us understand our leadership styles, identify our strengths, and gain insight into how to approach conversations and situations through a different lens. This series has equipped us with practical skills that we apply every day, both professionally and personally. Her leadership is intentional, inspiring, and deeply rooted in compassion. She is the kind of leader who brings out the best in others, and we are truly grateful for the positive change she continues to create within our organization. Anitra has also amplified our Daily Rounding Debrief efforts by ensuring leaders are assigned to every hospital room, guaranteeing that we are consistently connecting with all our patients. She is a woman of many hats — currently leading two CVA Executive Roles as both Chief Nurse Executive and Interim Chief Operations Officer. Her drive is unmatched. She is unstoppable. Her work at Kaiser has made a profound impact from the moment she joined the CVA team, and her leadership never goes unnoticed. Thank you, Anitra, for your unwavering dedication to our organization, our teams, and our members. You are truly an example of someone who leads with heart, purpose, and authenticity.
Thank you, Anitra, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
