Anjali was nominated by her peer for your “exceptional advocacy, clinical judgment, and unwavering dedication to her patients”.
A patient presented to the ED with persistent vomiting and tachycardia, and despite efforts to provide the patient with medication, her symptoms worsened. The patient deteriorated further, and Anjali continued to advocate to the providers for further workup. She eventually received the orders and quickly initiated them, resulting in placing the patient in the correct level of care.
Throughout the encounter, any nurse could easily become frustrated, but Anjali remained calm, compassionate, and in control of her escalation while continuing to provide reassurance to the patient who was clearly uncomfortable and in pain.
Anjali is often described by her peers and patients as courageous and resilient, and they remain in awe of the nurse you’ve become.
