We were in one of the cardiac ICUs I got floated to. Anjila stayed with me and we had a patient on a form of VA-VA ECMO. Two different VA ECMO machines. It’s never been done in the hospital. Anjila was extremely helpful in our care of this patient and his wife. I felt that she was attentive to the wife in asking her if she needed anything and getting it. Little gestures can go far with family members. Anjila also asked many great questions and was able to tell me her thought process when I asked her questions about patient care. She wasn’t too shy to ask other nurses her questions if I was busy with something. It was a busy day with a lot of changes and communication between many caregivers. Anjila was great! Anjila has been extremely helpful and interested in all that we have done with any patients. I work in the cardiac float pool so we have been on a different unit and take different assignments every day. Even floating to different floors in the middle of the shift. She never once complained and was always interested and involved in the patient care. I know how hard it is for a nursing student in a hospital, but Anjila has taken it with grace and been very flexible with all our assignments. I know she will be a great nurse!
