Ann Berry, RN

When considering the criteria to nominate a nurse for The DAISY Award there is an RN on my unit that easily comes to mind. Ann Berry is a caring, clinically exceptional nurse that has a vast knowledge of geriatric care and advancing health and ability through appropriate interventions. This is displayed daily with her ability to identify changes, advocate for therapies, and the special connections she forms with both Residents and their families. As a charge nurse, Ann motivates her staff through positive encouragement and through example. She is an exceptional leader and a valuable asset to not only the Delta Unit but the entirety of the Rhode Island Veterans Home.
