...a young woman showed up in the admitting department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She had flown in to St. Louis because her mother had just passed away. Someone had promised her she could view the body prior to organ/tissue donation. The patient had actually died at another hospital and we didn't know where the mother had been taken. Ann stepped up and began making calls to both the other hospital and Mid America Transplant and discovered where the body had been taken. After explaining to the daughter, Ann went even further out of her way to help. She got her car keys and had the daughter follow her car to the location which had her mother's body. She saw that the office was closed and called back to Mid America Transplant (MTS) and waited with the daughter until one of the (MTS) employees arrived. Ann went way above and beyond to help this young lady.

Thank you, Ann, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
