We were extremely fortunate in having Ann coordinate palliative care when she arranged the initial meeting and followed through with subsequent consensus from the doctors involved on June 9 to June 13 when Ann removed the respirator and our sister died peacefully within a half an hour. The patient was made comfortable until her last sister could arrive. I could not have wished for a more competent or caring nurse to oversee the last days of our youngest sister's life and guide us through the process.
