I had a major surgery and was blessed to have Nurse Ann Hampton as the first person I saw when I woke up in the Recovery Room. For the next few hours she did everything to make my time with her comfortable. Whatever I needed, she was there. The next day when I was put in a regular room she came to visit me. I really thought this was special, her taking time out of her day to stop by to see me.

I asked to find out her name so I could write up something about the great service I got and was told about the DAISY Award. Well, after getting all this information, I lost her name and didn’t know how to find it. Then, on Father’s day weekend, I went into the Emergency Room and had a procedure done on Father’s Day. When I woke up, there was Ann, just like earlier. I got the same great care I got the first time. I thought this was meant to be so I could get her name again. I then found out Ann was on call and was called out. This is my story about my “nursing angel” Ann Hampton.
