I have to start by saying that the whole team who looked after us when our daughter was born were excellent from the midwives and student midwives on the labour ward, to the very kind anesthetist and amazing doctors who brought our daughter into the world. We felt very well cared for and well informed at every stage of the process. They all did an amazing job! My reason for this nomination is Ann Keogh and for how well we were cared for post-birth. Despite being incredibly busy, she took the time to chat to us and made us feel relaxed, to ensure we were kept well informed of our treatment and were just generally very kind and caring at what is an incredibly vulnerable time. On the day I was due to be discharged Ann noticed an error on my prescription and worked hard to correct it. She went to the dispensary to collect my prescription to ensure we could get home in time for dinner with my son who was desperately missing us. This really went above and beyond and both me and my husband think she is a true DAISY Nurse.
