We had a patient that had a Myocardial Infarction (heart attack) with no family. The patient was very upset because his puppies had been home alone for five days with no food and water. Ann contacted animal control, met them at the patient’s house, and took the dogs to her house until the patient could get home. Talk about above and beyond. Later, another RN, Rosa, adopted the dogs long term.
