Nurse Ann Marie has been a devoted nurse to the medically underserved and indigent population of our community. She has shown dedication and loving support to these patients who would probably not have received any care in their countries of origin.
Ann Marie helped in the care of a very sick pregnant patient who was admitted with a hemoglobin of 4 (the normal blood count in healthy people is over 12). Through her persistence and outstanding care, this patient was able to weather the difficulty of pregnancy and profound anemia. The patient delivered a healthy baby girl with a wonderful outcome of this trying pregnancy, through the help and support of the OB team that Ann Marie helped supervise.
Ann Marie has compassion and a love for her work and dedication like no other.
