During these unprecedented times, I was so proud to see a nurse leading us through the surge of infection control rules, guidelines and ever-changing directives. Ann Marie Trieste-Vigorito, RN, CIC worked tirelessly to ensure she was on top of the latest guiding principles and recommendations to keep us and our patients and residents safe and COVID free. Her clinical and infection control expertise blazed the pathway we followed during these uncharted times. Ann Marie was available 24/7 creating policies and processes for us to follow; she rounded on the clinical units answering staff questions and seeking to ease their fears; and she consulted on every potential exposure and guided us on how to manage and mitigate the risk and keep us as safe and infection free as possible!
We are fortunate to have a strong, influential, expert Nurse like Ann Marie collaborating with our clinical teams and leading our Infection Control efforts. She makes a difference in the lives of patients, families and staff!
