Ann Nolan, RN

Ann Nolan is one of the most caring nurses I have ever worked with. She works with some of the most vulnerable children in our service, and she goes above and beyond for every single one of them. Ann will arrange home visits when they are refusing to attend school or college. Ann will carry or pull her trolley with the scales and tools to measure them. Ann will advocate on behalf of their voice in such a fervent trauma-informed voice that, together with safeguarding partners, she has prevented some from getting custodial sentences when they have committed crimes. Ann does this by searching literature and by sharing evidence of the damage certain statutory decisions can do to children. Ann is a force to be reckoned with in the safeguarding of our children contextually, and she does all this by having a quirky sense of humour and loving Stormzy.
