Ann Thomas, RN, PCCN
I am writing to recognize Ms. Ann Thomas. During my stay in this unit, I had the privilege of observing her remarkable skills and intelligence as a nurse. Most of the time, she served as my Charge Nurse, and I was continually impressed by her dedication and compassion in this role.
Ms. Thomas exemplifies what it means to be a compassionate and effective Charge Nurse. She is always willing to help others with their tasks, making the workflow smoother and more efficient. Her ability to multitask is truly exceptional, and she handles her responsibilities with grace and precision.
One of the qualities that sets Ms. Thomas apart is her meticulousness in checking charts and nurses' notes. She ensures that everything is accurate and thorough, providing a strong foundation for patient care. Whenever assistance is needed, she is there with a helping hand, demonstrating her competence and reliability.
Ms. Thomas is a leader we can trust. She plays a crucial role in creating our Nursing plans and assists us when transferring patients to another floor. In the absence of a Nurse Assistant, she willingly takes on additional responsibilities, including patient cleaning, vital signs monitoring, and blood sugar checks.
Her calmness, perseverance, and empathy towards patients are evident in everything she does. These qualities, combined with her professional excellence, make her an outstanding candidate for the DAISY Award.
