Ann-Uriel Knausenberger provided extremely compassionate end-of-life care to my aunt. When it became evident that my aunt was dying, Ann kept her comfortable while also prolonging her time so that her son would be able to arrive before she passed.

In addition, she compassionately explained what would happen physiologically to the loved ones gathered in the room. It is a super difficult conversation to have, and Ann was both professional and caring, speaking in such a way that my aunt (who did not appear to be awake) would understand too; in other words, not talking about her but talking in her presence.
