I would like to take a moment to thank and recognize my colleague for her help. Towards the end of the day, we had an IR Anesthesia case scheduled for an inpatient. The patient was very emotionally, mentally, and physically frail. When she arrived at the IR suite, she was extremely anxious, and there were many challenges that presented while just trying to accomplish the basic things, such as obtaining procedural and anesthesia consent.

Due to the frail emotional and mental state the patient was in, even the Anesthesia team was struggling to communicate with her and manage her requests and needs. The patient came down to me fully clothed, and I was having difficulty even getting her clothing off because she was upset and in a lot of pain. Ann came to the bedside to help me, and she was so patient, gentle, and reassuring with the patient, even when communicating with her was challenging. Eventually, after about 20 minutes and with much patience, thanks to my colleague's help, we were able to get her appropriately prepped. I really appreciate Ann coming to help me, even though the dynamics in the room were very challenging and stressful.
