This nurse is clearly a person who chose the right profession in life. She’s extremely passionate and caring about all the patients in her care.

My wife was admitted to the hospital, not knowing what was wrong, and extremely upset. This nurse admitted her that night to her room and before she left, she had my wife smiling and laughing. She treated her like family, not like a patient through the course of her nine-day stay in the hospital. Even when this nurse wasn’t her nurse, she always managed to stop in with something cheerful to make her smile. She would spend time explaining all the tests and procedures that she was going through to make her feel more at ease. At first, I thought it was just my wife and her bonding, but when my wife was down in surgery, I was standing in the hall, listening to a conversation between her and another patient whom she was treating exactly the same way. It is definitely a gift of hers to treat people the way she does, and always make them smile. She took care of all her discharge paperwork, and everything even walked her out of the hospital to the car and before leaving, gave her a big hug and told her she hoped everything would be okay.

Anna is truly a person who deserves the DAISY Award.  She has gone out of her way in every way shape and form to help my wife and the other patients. Even with me being a visitor, every time my wife was down for surgery or a test, she always came into the room to ask me if I was okay and if I needed anything. She always let me know what the updates were, so I knew what was going on. She is definitely a very special person.
