"Anna came into our room with a large smile and truly made us feel at home."
My daughter was admitted to Anna Chamber’s unit after nearly a month-long hospital stay. She was discharged home and then readmitted less than two days later. Myself, my husband, and my mother had been living in a hotel the entire time and had just finally got to go home. Being readmitted, our morale was low, and we were all feeling pretty beaten down and hopeless.
Anna came into our room with a large smile and truly made us feel at home. She made arts and crafts to celebrate our daughter’s mark of her first month on earth, she made us laugh and listened to all of our concerns. She made us feel comfortable.
This is my husband and I's first child; we got married two days after she was born and had never felt up to doing anything to celebrate. Anna and my mother made sure that we felt comfortable enough to go out and have a date night dinner together. Anna gave the restaurant recommendation and truly made sure we went somewhere special!
Anna has continued to make us feel comfortable and supported throughout the continuation of this stay and truly has helped us look at the bigger picture; the joy we get from our little girl being here with us!
