It is impossible to describe in a few words the kind of nurse Anna is. She is a true DAISY Nurse. Anna's kindness and compassion are demonstrated through her countless contributions; working to make D5 what it is today. Her ability to connect with patients and families is inspiring. Without any hesitation or anyone needing to ask, Anna is always lending others a helping hand. She is a leader and a role model to many.
One particular week, when acuity was at its highest, every time I rounded, Anna was there, helping her clinical colleagues from intake of admissions to assisting with patient discharges. Even when an emergency would rear its head: Anna was always there, helping out and spreading her positive energy. The nursing profession is very fortunate to have Anna and D5 is even more lucky to be able to call her "Our peer!"
