Anna Emery, RN

Anna consistently demonstrates professionalism, kindness, and thoughtful compassion to our patients on 5WA. She routinely provides exceptional care to our diverse patient population, truly embodying the ethos of treating everyone with dignity and respect. Anna approaches each patient as an individual, as an inherently valuable human being. She is thoughtful and sensitive to each person's history and circumstance, ensuring that everyone has space and opportunity to have their voice heard.

This commitment to patient centered care is immensely important on out unit both from a clinical standpoint and in terms of patient wellbeing and sense of self. She is incredibly patient, taking as much time as each person needs to ask questions, receive information, or process their feelings. As healthcare in general has a tendency to view people as a diagnosis and care as a list of tasks, her approach and commitment to personalized and care is clearly appreciated by patients and colleagues alike. Quite simply, it's the right thing to do and it is effective. I realize I have so far omitted a specific story, maybe that is the storyline, but the exceptional care she provides each and every day is remarkable itself.
