Anna Hudson, RN

During a very stressful code and resulting infant demise, Anna maintained a calm and collected attitude. She communicated well with her team and asked for help immediately. As a newly trained vent nurse, I am impressed by the caliber of critical thinking and collaboration that Anna displays. Her compassion in providing post-mortem care for the infant was evident despite the enormous gravity of the situation. She took time to prepare a memory box for parents, including moldings of the infant's hands and feet as well as pictures and mementos of the infant's short yet fully worth-celebrating existence. She coordinated skin-to-skin holding and supported the parents in their time of insurmountable grief. I am beyond thankful to have her as a part of our NICU team as well as a member of the Renown RN team. Her observable execution of our core values makes her a true DAISY Nurse. Thank you, Anna, for doing a difficult job with such grace and compassion.
