My world turned upside down when I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. I am 69 years old. I was set up for my first chemo treatment. I was scared to death. I did not sleep the night before and was on the verge of throwing up. That was until my angel Anna Marie walked up to me and took me under her wings of her caring, understanding, excellent care. She took the time to explain everything to me even showing me chemicals that were going to be going through my body. She stayed with me for 7 hours and that went by rather quickly with her wonderful attitude and made sure I understood everything. I never seemed hurried. It was like, at that moment I was the most important person in her world. I want her to know what a difference she made in this scared Grandma's life. I go back for my 2nd treatment tomorrow and I am not scared.

Both my husband and I were so impressed over Anna Marie's professionalism and her knowledge of how to care for cancer patients and their families. She also gives my husband a feeling she truly cares and lifts his spirits. She really deserves the honor of receiving the DAISY Award.
