I would like to recognize my manager, who has consistently demonstrated what true compassionate leadership looks like. She is not only an exceptional nurse leader but also someone who embodies the role of a mentor and, to many of us, a mother figure within the unit.

There was a time when I was feeling overwhelmed both professionally and personally. Despite her demanding responsibilities, she took the time to sit with me, listen without judgment, and offer guidance with genuine care. She didn’t just provide solutions—she made me feel seen, supported, and valued.

Her ability to balance clinical excellence with deep empathy creates a safe and empowering environment for both staff and patients. She leads by example, always putting patient care first while never losing sight of the wellbeing of her team.
