My uncle was in the same room for a week until he passed. His nurse, Anna, took good care of him until the last day. She was so supportive and kind. She not only took care of my uncle but made sure we, the family, were okay, too.

Anna went above and beyond to help us with each step. She knew my main concern was to get my uncle’s brother here from out of town before he passed. But despite doing everything in her power to keep him alive, his heart and organs were still failing. So, I got his brothers on the phone; this way, they can say their final goodbyes since they were still hours away.

As my uncle was passing, Anna gave us our time with him. My cousin and I each held his hand through his last breath. Anna then proceeded to detach all the cords and equipment and made him look presentable so that when his brothers arrive, they will see him in a peaceful and resting state. I believe this will help with their closure.

Thank you so much for being kind and compassionate. The bereavement card was a nice gesture as we were here all day. Thank you for that final hug and cry with me. I will never forget this, thank you very much, Anna Morales.
