Anna Nicole Gulas is an exemplary example of what it means to be a nurse in mental health, specializing in substance abuse. Anna is able to show compassion and understanding while maintaining the professional boundaries needed in mental health. She was able to start a clothing closet for our unit for veterans who come in with no clothes. She takes time to sit with a veteran if they need to talk. She continually goes above and beyond for her patients, present, and past.
