Nina sat with me and let me speak, let me cry, and just listened. I appreciate her so very much.
I was admitted to LBVA for an infected knee and since my stay here started I have met many nurses but until being housed here in the ARU unit I have never believed a more caring individual until I met Nina. I was transferred to ARU where I found out my sister had passed away, Nina sat with me and let me speak, let me cry, and just listened. I appreciate her so very much. When a person is dealing with physical pain it's hard, Nina made my pain, livable for the moment without meds. She is a special type of angel here on earth.

Nina not only went above and beyond the call of duty in my care, but she extended the same to my family by keeping us positive and together and knowing that I was in good hands by continually checking on my mental condition and putting me at ease for the next steps. Where some communications were positioned strictly medical by other caregivers, Nina gave me compassion and confidence that the next day’s agenda included PT, a visit from my family, and always military service appreciation. Her commitment to my care was consistently kind and courteous, and each evening I'd pray that she was on duty. Over and above, Nina’s service and care were recognized by my entire family. As a long-term business leader in revenue and personnel size, I’ve never seen service demonstrated at Nina's level of performance. Because of Nina- I wanted to get better faster and return to a more productive life. I am forever grateful to Nina.
