Anna Pitts, RN

Anna Pitts started her tenure here at Hancock in the early 90s as an SNE. Once she had her RN, she worked in the Same Day Surgery Department as a circulating nurse. She went to Oncology with US Oncology and spent 10 years caring for cancer patients in our community. She left oncology and worked in the surgery center for 6 years before she had a catastrophic automobile wreck for which she was incapacitated for over a year. Once she was well enough to return to work, she went back to the cancer center, which is now a Hancock Health Department, and spent another 10 years in oncology. She made her patients feel like family, and many of them still ask for or about her today. We wish her well. She is spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Way to go, Anna!
